Biology and Biotechnology Tours
On this page, you can read about the different study tours you can choose from when organizing the study trip’s daily program with biology and biotechnology as your major.
Most of the tours you can choose from for the study trip start from the town of Sóller, which is located in
the Sóller Valley, which is part of the beautiful UNESCO-protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.
The valley also offers the opportunity to explore a wide range of wildlife, vegetation, and marine environments.
The valley opens into the naturally created beach and port town of Port de Sóller, 3 km from the town of Sóller towards the coast.
When students participate in one of Naturetrips’ and Naturhelten’s study tours, they have the opportunity to acquire knowledge about biodiversity in nature in Mallorca, possibly focusing on polyculture, monoculture, or weather conditions. Available teaching materials will include reference books, the Ravnkær cycle analysis model, apps, paper and pencil, etc.
Students will be free to use various materials for the investigations on the tours to shed light on the included learning objectives, observations, empiricism, modeling, and hands-on activities that will appear in the daily program.
The tours conclude with the students presenting analyses and discussing the results in groups or in a joint plenary session.
